      FoodPartner.com According to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), the EFSA has issued an opinion on the use of phosphate oligosaccharides of calcium (POs-Ca®) as a source of calcium in food, food supplements, and food for special medical purposes.

  POs-Ca® is the calcium salt of potato starch-derived phosphate oligosaccharides. POs-Ca® is stabilized under temperature and pH conditions during the production of chewing gum, hard candy, sugar-free soft candy and apple juice.

  After evaluation, the EFSA Panel concluded that POs-Ca® is safe for use as a source of calcium in food, food supplements and food for special medical purposes and is a good calcium supplement.
